The Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenured/tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin September 1, 2025. Major/Essential Functions
In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

Required Qualifications
  • An earned doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in one or more areas of kinesiology with a preference for biomechanics, neuromechanics, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed research.
  • Demonstrated ability to seek and apply for external research funding.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching and developing undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biomechanics, neuromechanics, or closely related courses.
  • Experience developing online courses in biomechanics, neuromechanics, or a closely related field.
  • A focused line of research in musculoskeletal biomechanics, neuromechanics, or a closely related field, with emphasis on the foundations of healthy and/or disordered human movement, the promotion, maintenance, or restoration of health through movement, or similar.
  • A record of external funding to support research activity.
